About Us

I was motivated to start my business because I am a mother of six children. Entrepreneurship runs in my family; I grew up seeing the example of my mother, who was very hardworking and responsible. Her dedication to the business inspired me. My story is rooted in the fact that my mother was always involved in business, and I learned from her.

I grew up in Mexico, where she sold fruits, corn, papaya, and other products that she grew or bought to resell. I realized that fresh fruit would spoil and result in losses, so I started selling sodas and snacks, but then I found it more convenient to start with non-perishable products and venture into something different like shoes, clothing, and perfumes.

I started selling products in 2006, but I realized I wasn't making much progress. From 2007 to 2013, I worked at Willy's for six years, dedicating myself seven days a week. In 2009, I decided to bring my children from Mexico, which further motivated me to start my own business.

In 2013, an opportunity arose when someone offered me a small space to sell a variety of items such as phone credit, jewelry, hats, and perfumes at a stall inside a supermarket. Gradually, I expanded my offerings to Colombian pants and handbags. In 2016, I found a better opportunity. I was offered a space to rent. That's where Variedades Tere LLC officially moved.

Despite challenges, including almost closing between 2017 and 2019, I persevered. The pandemic initially affected us, but we adapted, found more suppliers, and opened Variedades Tere 2 in 2023.

My greatest motivation has always been my children. I am grateful to God and the community for their support, and I always strive to put God first in everything I do.
